Longing for Fall...

Most everyone may be wondering at this title. "What do you mean longing for fall? It is already here." Yes, well it probably is fall for most of you guys but, however, it hasn't quite reached us yet. Every once in awhile we get a little whiff of it. Enough to know it is almost here and it is exactly what we have been longing for.
Fall is, and will continue to be, my absolute favorite season of the year. There is nothing like the crisp fall air, the crunch of the leaves as you stroll through the orchard, the songs of the birds and squirrels as they busily gather their winter dinners. Apples, Cider, Pumpkin Pie, and the delicious aromas drifting from the kitchen. The flicker of candles and the warmth of the house. Ahhh! Another scene that is quickly becoming a sign of fall for our family is the simple white fields of cotton. Perhaps a foreign sight for some but it is so beautiful!

Yet another reason why I love fall is because it is a refreshing change from the summer heat. It really is a season that is too short.
