Wonderful Wedding Weekend

Well, here it is the long awaited post of the wonderful wedding weekend! We are so blessed to now have Rose as a sister/daughter-in-law in our family. She is so very sweet and is a wonderful sister-in-law. Not to mention that Daniel and her make the cutest couple.

~~~~~
We shall start off with the happy couple themselves at the rehearsal dinner.
It was a beautiful spring day, simply lovely for the rehearsal.
Daniel and Rose with our dad.
David wanted to be in the picture too. :-)
Dad with his two oldest boys on his lap. He is still very young at heart. ;-)
Here is the wonderful caterer and friend of the family F.J. who put a lot of work and effort into the day/weekend. Thanks so much!
And his dear mother.
This was the table in honor of Daniel and Rose.
We decorated the dining room with a fresh spring look. It was loads of fun. Each table was decorated differently, these are only two of the center pieces.
And now for the big day itself!
I am so glad that God chooses the weather and we are not allowed to pick it out. He ALWAYS knows best and I am afraid if the chose was up to us we would often choose wrongly. Daniel and Rose's wedding day was no exception. If left to any of us we would have picked a bright sunny day with not a sprinkle felt. But thankfully God had other plans. Yes, it rained on their wedding and yes, it was an outside wedding. But God knows best. You see, God knew that if it had been a sunny day all of the guest would be sitting in the direct sun as well as the wedding party. And He knew that the lighting for pictures would be much better if it were over cast. God had also planned it so that the wedding would take place on a large front porch so that with only a little rearranging a majority of the guest could be seated under a roof and out of the rain. The rain chased away the heat and left those that had been wet only slightly chilled. The best part is yet to come. It was Daniel and Rose's desire that the congregation join them in their vows. So accordingly the minister turned to the congregation and asked us if we would promise to pray for, encourage, and uplift Daniel and Rose as they started this new journey together. And as we all answered, 'we will,' in unison God sent a crash of thunder upon us. As if to say, 'I will,' too. So you see, God's hand and fingerprints were seen all over on the special occasion of Daniel and Rose's wedding.~
The happy couple with the grooms parents.
Here is a picture of all us siblings, Dad, and Mom.
And here is a picture with all us siblings with the additions of wives and children.
A picture with the Grandmas
Dean and his family.
Poor Gracie got sick that morning as we were taking pictures. She has not had the greatest luck with weddings. During the other three she has slept through part if not all of the wedding itself.
My seven handsome brothers.
Daniel with the best man and best friend since childhood.
Our sick darling..
David with his family.Anthony and his family.
Another of Dean, Nicole, and 'little man'.
The twins!
Us girls with Daniel!
Mother and Son.
The two who started it all.
My dad a grandpa...
Thought that I would throw in a picture of the sea of umbrellas. I'm sure they were all glad they had umbrellas in their cars. Thankfully it didn't actually pour down during the wedding only sprinkled.
My Beautiful mother and I.
God was so good to bring out the sunshine for a couple hours during the reception. He planned it perfectly.
The meal was a light snack which was absolutely perfect.
They did a beautiful job on the tables.
The food was served inside which aloud everyone to go through line and then minger in or out as they chose.
Everyone enjoyed a few hours of mingling and chatting...
And then....
they were off!
So you see, it truly was a wonderful wedding weekend!
Just for kicks I thought I would toss in a picture of all our sleeping beauties. They must of thought it was a tiring day for they all crashed in the living room when they arrived home. :-)
