Hands On!
It holds the attention of all!
Even easily distracted six year olds. :-)

The best way to learn hands on is with family. God has greatly blessed me with the family I have. I am so thankful for strong Christian parents who love me and care about my every need and for my wonderful siblings who continue to challeng me everyday. :-) My God is SOOOOO Good!

This week we dissected a frog and worm!

As you can imagine there was a lot of, "YUCKS!" and, "It smells!" :-)

But, despite all of the negative comments, it really did hold every ones attention...

and we all dove in for a closer look at the evidence of God's incredible creation.

We have decided that being a surgeon isn't one of our families skills. :-)

We have also been learning about Vertebrates and Invertebrates.

We've learned about the characteristics of each and some of the different animals.
Here (below) we were practicing taxonomy.

Here is the typical/traditional meal for those who live in India.
We've had a lot of fun learning their different culture. The more I study different countries the more I realize how blessed I am to live in America. In India it is not uncommon to have five and six year olds working to help provide for the family. The average wealthy person in India would be considered second class in America. Differences between American and India are stunning.

To make learning extra fun we made some edible
play-dou and formed the shape of India.

A little Fact:
India is 80% Hindu
10% Muslim
and 10% other.
I am so blessed to live in America. To be able to worship God without fear of being persecuted.

Gracie shaping India.

Something must have been funny. :-)

We all had a lot of fun learning about these things.
I hope you enjoyed our enjoyment.
