About two weeks ago my family had the privilege to be able to go to Nashville, TN for a home school conference. Some friends of ours also attended the conference and we were fortunate enough to be in the same hotel. It is kind of a tradition to meet up with them every year for this conference.

These pictures are us preparing our supper after our arrival. For the last several years we've been blessed to stay in a Wyndham really close to the conference. This has been really nice because the condos have been two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, a living room, and a washer and dryer. Unfortunately due to flooding in the area the Wyndham was closed. So this year we had to go back to a hotel room. It wasn't as convenient as the Wyndham but we were able to manage.

We weren't able to make it to Nashville last year so our parents had a lot to catch up on. It was such a blessing for them to be able to share their hearts with each other and share how God has been working in their lives.

Thomas was able to attend ALERT this year for the first time. ALERT is something all of his older brothers have attended and he has looked forward to for several years. While outside in the heat all day they learn a lot character and team work through their games and activities.
He is holding his character award in this picture.

Gracie enjoyed being at Children Institute. (CI)
This is here with her group and teachers.

Ty helped teach a CI class. It kept him on his toes having to watch and teach about 11 children (all under the age of 7) for most of the day. He did fantastic.

One exhausted girlie!

FRIENDS!

They had a Grand piano there! I was dying to play it but it had a requirement for hymns only and I haven't memorized any as of yet. Joy enjoyed playing it though. Doesn't she look so grown up in this picture? AHhhhhhh!

At our lunch breaks it felt so good to be able to "kick" of our shoes. Even though we were sitting most of the day our feet were still very sore.

My dad posed my shoes for the picture. :-)
Did you know that my dad used to be a photographer? I have always known it but the fact that he was one never hit me till recently.

It was a lot of fun seeing the Duggars there. They are truly a remarkable family.

My sweet little sister "posing" for the family. :-) Quite the little girl.

The week, in all, was very inspiring and I learned a lot.... but that is for another time.
