Fun School!

We have been studying the Renaissance period in history recently. Along with that we learned about Michelangelo and the art he did. (He lived during that time). Michelangelo was the one that painted the ceiling in the Sistine chapel. One of our projects for that lesson was to paint upside down. So we all laid down under a play table and drew our favorite Bible story.
I completely sympathize with Michelangelo his arms must have been extremely sore after all of that. It took Michelangelo four years of laying on his back to paint it! Two facts I found interesting was that Michelangelo greatly disliked painting, if he had his wish he would have never painted, and he was paid very little. Imagine laying on your back doing something you almost hated for four years and being paid practically nothing! I don't think I would have done it!

Above is a picture of all of us students coloring. Below are the two pictures of my upside down artistic skills. Amazing aren't they!LOL! (just kidding).
