Miscellaneous

Hello, it has been a long time since I've blogged. I have had a hard time deciding what to write about. We've been back into the full swing with school routine. I have a pretty full load this year. Some of my favorite subjects are Botany and Algebra. This past weekend we enjoyed the fellowship of some friends from Atlanta and are expecting some more company this coming weekend.

Tuesday Morning we planted our fall garden. My family has never planted a fall garden so this is a new experience. The gardening is fitting in nicely as a hands-on for my Botany course. It was simply gorgeous outside when we planted. I couldn't have asked for better gardening weather. It is starting to feel like fall, again, hopefully it will stay that way. Back to gardening, we've planted Broccoli, carrots, peas, radishes, lettuce, spinach, collard greens, and cabbage. We planted most of it a while back and some is already starting to shoot up. I'll try and post a picture.
We've been using the raised beds, for gardening, and I am really enjoying them. There are a lot of pluses for using them. 1. There is practically no weeds to weed and if any ever come up they are really easy to pick. 2. You don't have to bend over as far. 3. It is easier to add to the soil in between planting. In case you haven't noticed the pictures I've posted are random. They have nothing to do with what I am talking about. (I am really just trying to make the post longer by putting them up :-).)

A couple weeks ago we were having some van troubles. It ended up just being the batteries. It was quite funny on some occasions we didn't have my dads pick-up truck so we had to use both Ty and Daniel's cars to try and start our big diesel van. One morning we had gotten up at 5:30 in the morning (on a Saturday) to go garage saling. (Explanation: We were going to a town a hour away). Well I was rushing around helping getting things ready and yes, I neglected to spend time with the Lord. Well, we jumped into the car and attempted to start the van but it didn't start. I was completely annoyed we were already late. We planned on leaving at 6 and it was already 6:30! I decided not to sit in the van for a half of a hour while the boys tried got it started. I went up to my room and noticed I had also neglected to make the bed. While making the bed I asked myself "Why would God allow us to be late." I realized then that He would do it just so I could spend some quite time with Him. I thanked him and got out my Bible to spend the time I had neglected to spend earlier. I heard the van start just as I was getting done. :-)

I just love the way the Lord works He let the van break down just so I could spend some time with Him. After that I wasn't as impateint when it happened again.Once I even decided to snapp a couple pics while waiting. :-)I took this picture of Joy for a school project I loved the pose and her smile. All the girls in the family. Nicole snapped this one. I really enjoy how it turned out.
Another picture of Joy snapped by Nicole.I think this picture of Grace is super cute. Ty took it for a school project.
Such a mater-of-fact face.

Well I hope you enjoyed the post. I'll try to update sooner next time.
